MOTHER EARTH CACAO brings you 100% Pure Cacao from the ancient Mayan lands of Guatemala - “Entre Nubes” origin. 


“Entre Nubes” means between clouds which is a reference to the region where FEDECOVERA, the organisation behind this origin, is located.

This cacao is grown in lush cloudy valleys between mountains in Alta Verapaz.

The Farmers 💫

The organisation supports over 33,000 farming families in a second-level type of organisation. The cacao comes from small-scale Indigenous owned farming land, produced in an organic and diverse way.

This means each farmer has a vote in their
cooperative.

MOTHER EARTH CACAO is sourced from 100% Mayan owned collectives of indigenous mothers who artisanally produce our Cacao products.

The cacao beans are roasted, hand-peeled and ground by this wonderful team before then being moulded into our smooth blocks of rich Cacao paste.

Our Cacao is organically grown, harvested, fermented and dried before being transported to the small Kaqchikel village of San Marcos La Laguna on the shores of Lake Atitlan. 

Signifying life and fertility, it’s thought that Cacao was first used as a health elixir and ceremonial medicine as far back as 1900 BC by the ancestors of Central America; the Olmec people, before becoming a ritualistic medicine used by the Aztec and Mayan cultures.

Theobroma Cacao is rich in magnesium, potassium, iron, and theobromine. This superfood provides the body with nutrients, antioxidants and also the neurotransmitters serotonin, tryptophan and dopamine, which help to feel good, combat stress and harness renewed motivation.

The phenylethylamine content also helps the body to create feelings of excitement and euphoria, while opening up creativity and flow.
