Butterfly blue tea, also known as Butterfly Pea Flower Tea, is a herbal tea that has been gaining popularity for its numerous health benefits. It is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, and has been traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine to alleviate stress, anxiety, and depression.
Improves skin health: Blue butterfly pea is rich in antioxidants. It can slow down the skin aging process, prevent premature aging, and improve overall skin tone and texture. Improves hair health: Butterfly pea nourishes hair follicles, promotes hair growth, reduces hair fall, and slows down the greying of hair.
The tea has also been shown to improve cognitive function, boost memory, and enhance mood. Additionally, it has been used to support eye health, reduce inflammation.
Consumption of blue tea can assist with burning fat by serving as a detoxifying agent. Besides, it is a natural diuretic – triggers the loss of water weight.
How to make a Hot Butterfly Pea Tea:
Place the dried flowers (approx 2 tsp) into a tea strainer or a reusable tea bag .You could also just put them loose into the cup, then strain them out or drink around them.
Steep the butterfly pea tea for 5-10 minutes in boiling water. Of course steeping the tea longer will extract more color and flavour, but it isn’t necessary.
Remove the tea strainer. Look at that deep blue colour! I mean, this is one of the prettiest tea in the world .
Top Tip! Add Lemon Juice or Lime Juice to taste: This is what changes the color of the tea from blue to purple. It also adds some extra flavor. Lemon juice boosts the Vitamin C content of the drink as well.
To sweeten:
You could use maple syrup, or honey for a neutral flavor profile. Or, if you’d like to add extra flavour, you could use vanilla syrup, lavender simple syrup, etc. A-few drops of almond extract. It goes really well with the flavour of the butterfly pea tea.
The ingredients for the iced version are the same as the hot version, except for the ice cubes!

Hibiscus tea is a popular drink throughout Central and Southern America and parts of Asia. It is made by infusing dried sections of the beautiful flowers with hot water to create a colourful and tasty drink with a cranberry like flavour. Drink on its own or sweeten slightly and add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Also makes a superb iced tea on a hot summer’s day. Our hibiscus tea is one of the only organic versions of the drink available. Made using hibiscus from the fertile hills of Sri Lanka, where the climate produces flavoursome flowers grown without the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, meaning a better taste for you and a better future for our planet.
Unlike many other ‘hibiscus’ teas on the market, Mother Earth hibiscus is a single ingredient blend and doesn’t dilute the dried flower extract with any other ingredients, resulting in a finished product of unsurpassable quality, with a milder and sweeter taste
